Our factory located in Portugal, Carnaxide - Lisbon is seeking a Quality Manager to coordinate the straw production-related Quality Process, Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement through World Class Methodologies (WCM) towards Quality Leadership. This is a permanent position, reporting to the Factory Manager.
As Quality Manager in this position you will:
  • Lead and maintain the Total Quality Management (TQM) systems, through the management and improvement of systems, audits and processes
  • Drive the implementation of management systems, audits and processes, for quality system (ISO 9001:2015, A&I), food safety compliance (BRC standards, FCC routine), product quality control and Quality process control
    Supervise and coordinate the implementation of Integrated Management System and operational links to other TQM areas
  • Plan and coordinate customer audits
    Implement global Straw Business TQM standards and initiatives
  • Lead issue resolution processes – Implementation, compliance and improvement of issue resolution local processesAct as a Super User handling claims in SAP
    Act as Issue Resolution Super User in accordance to Tetra Pak routines
  • Define and monitor operational KPI targets, indicators, measurement tool and investments in TQM area in cooperation with factory controller and factory manager
  • Lead Customer claims handling and waste indicators management and continuous improvement
  • Drive Base Materials quality management and Base Materials quality issues reduction
  • Lead energy consumption tracking and related optimization initiatives
  • Support TL risk reviews in TQM area in cooperation with factory controller and factory manager
  • Support WCM coordination and WCM expansion through the steering committee, pillar assessments, pillars and teams coaching, pillar forums leadership and participation and master pillar network

We believe that you have:
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Quality Manager in a production environment in shopfloor
  • Background in quality standards, processes, methods and certification systems is a must
  • Experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English language is a must
  • Experience in Straw manufacturing is an advantage
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Quality-focused approach and mindset
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly collaborative and driven attitude to positively influence others
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in international work environment is a plus
