Our Client, a specialist marine and aviation consultancy, is looking to establish a Malta based CSP. As part of this process it is looking to recruit a Head of Legal / Managing Director to spearhead the establishment of the CSP and its continued growth.
 
The successful candidate will be involved in the management of the CSP, its employees and in the management of client affairs all within the marine and aviation sectors.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in company law, trusts and fiduciary services and should have prior experience working with a CSP or a company licensed to provide trust and fiduciary services. The candidate is also expected to have experience in the marine and aviation sectors, both locally within Malta but also internationally.

 
Responsibilities:

• Manage both the CSP and its clients.
• Manage the establishment of the CSP, its policies and procedures, within the regulatory regime and in order to provide outstanding customer service
• Managing the staff to ensure a strong team and its continued professional development. The candidate will also have overall responsibility for service delivery to clients within agreed budgets and will need to be a proven team leader who is able to delegate and manage effectively.

As managing director of the CSP, the candidate will be expected to:

• Be an integral part of the board of directors for the establishment of budgets, procedures and key performance targets and thereafter the regular management and the reporting on these;
• Manage human resources and overseeing personal career development as well as dealing with performance management if required
• Assist with the continued improvement of the business

As head of legal services, the candidate will be expected to:

• Do the management of client services (including meeting with clients, both in Malta and within Europe, as required)
• Carry the provision of Legal and Advisory services in relation to marine and aviation
• Drafting of contracts, agreements and other legal documents
• Day-to-day oversight of client legal and fiduciary services
• Trust, foundation and fiduciary administration services
• Coordination of incorporation of companies and the setting up of all legal entities
• Company secretarial and administration services

Requirements:

• Maltese Law Degree
• Diploma in International Trust Management
• Certificate in Trust Law and Administration
• Experience working with a CSP, within a marine and/or aviation role would be considered an asset
• Experience working in Trusts and Foundations
• Ability to manage teams and work on your own initiative
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Proactive, deadline orientated, and self-motivated
