One of our iGaming client’s are hiring a Legal Counsel who will be work closely with management and various stakeholders to ensure the company is compliant with various regulations that impact the company’s operations together with ongoing analysis of all aspects relating licenses and all upcoming changes and other jurisdictions as required.

Requirements:

3+ years’ legal experience with a top law firm, holding similar responsibilities in the corporate / commercial sector

Some experience within the iGaming industry would be an asset

Experience dealing with regulators will be considered an asset

A master’s degree in law

Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal

Smart and motivated with the ability to work under pressure

Excellent time management skills

Success driven and focused

Able to build and maintain excellent relationships both with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the drafting, negotiating, and reviewing process of commercial contracts (NDAs, service agreements, PSP agreements, consultancy agreements, marketing agreements) with a multi-jurisdictional scope, such as B2B and B2C including with suppliers and other business partners

Manage pre-litigation and litigation cases involving iGaming customers and 3rd party providers on multiple jurisdictions and at the occurrence liaise with external Attorneys

Handle and manage corporate matters involving the company group, such as restructuring, increasing and transferring of Shares (M&A)

Manage and supervise the entire Due Diligence process (KYC/KYB) the company is subject to, need to establish and maintain the business relationships with 3rd party providers, financial institutions, regulators and clients

Manage and monitor the Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) process and work closely with the company DPO on advising the business on GDPR related matters

Advise and cooperate with other departments regarding contract issues, player disputes, and the management of projects on different areas of the business

Manage projects involving the legal team such as Contract lifecycle management (CLM), improvement of communication channels, tasks and activities reporting, legal expenses monitoring, drafting and presentations of internal policies and procedures needed to grant and constantly enhance the functioning of the legal department

Closely cooperate with the compliance team when making applications to relevant regulators, license and compliance reporting and auditing

Constantly monitor National, European, and International legal and regulatory developments related to the Gambling industry and other affiliated sectors

Support and report to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer
