O que procura nos candidatos

The Head of Financial Operations will be is key contributor who will manage the whole operational finance function across funding, self-issuing and BIN sponsorship partnerships. We’re looking for someone to assume high level of ownership, be a self-starter, analytically minded with a strong focus on detail, and  committed to high quality deliverables. The ideal candidate must have a drive to improve processes, systems and reporting continuously,  and if you could multi-task, work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 


Requirements

Leading our operational global treasury and partners pre-funding/trust models

Operational vendor management and operational risk oversight of a highly diverse network of partners, including card processors and card schemes in addition to other banking partners

Lead efforts to implement tactical and strategic operational continuous improvement enhancements and controls over all related banking functional processes, including scheme clearing & settlement process

Oversee and coordinate the full reconciliation process for all our financial partners' setups across the globe

Managing the operational flows and procedures to operate all internal processing systems

Constant evaluation and improvement of internal policies and controls

Analysing business processes, identifying new opportunities, and driving projects to improve further processes and systems, with a focus on quality and efficiency

Key role in a number of deliverables within the month-end process in terms of management accounts delivery

Full ownership of the internal reconciliation engine, and liaising with the R&D team with future enhancements to existing processes

Performing ad hoc financial analyses as requested

Keep central updated documentation repository of all reconciliation processes, internal procedures and financial risk register

Act as an escalation point for Senior Finance Officer’s reconciliation issues

Liaise with the internal auditor around regular assessment of the operational finance processes

 

Requirements

5+ years’ experience in a similar role

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Accounting or Finance

Strong project management and execution focus extremely organized and effective at time management

Industry Expertise within card processing and deep understanding of regulatory requirements for financial institutions (such as Safeguarding)

Strong Microsoft Excel and database (MySQL) skills

Strong research, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and analytical skills

Experience working with B2C technology, fintech, and/or payment services business is considered advantageous

What you will do:


Operations Expertise: Defining, documenting and advising on operations procedures and controls related to all financial and card operations (across all life cycles)

Project Planning / Implementation: Developing detailed project plans to prepare implementations of new banking partners, card schemes and any related projects

Treasury: Coordinating and managing critical funds flows operations with the corporate finance department on accounting and treasury processes. This role will act as the key stakeholder with regards to regulatory obligations on client funds (safeguarding).

Stakeholder Relationship Management: Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Defining objectives & KPIs- Providing accurate and detailed forecasting as well as  relevant progress reporting to internal and external stakeholders
