As an eCommerce Business Analyst you will join a team focused on helping customers transform their business. You will work with a team focused on delivering complex eCommerce solutions to customers, within the customer technology practice. The practice is focused on helping customers drive customer engagement via eCommerce and Dynamics CRM technology. You will work directly with customers to gather their requirements, the sales team to help the pre-sales process and the project delivery team to relay customer requirements to technical staff.


  • Participating and on occasion leading business requirements workshops.
  • Production of meeting minutes, both face to face and via conference call.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, such as giving product demos, inputting into the sales response process.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customers and become a trusted advisor.
  • Gathering of customer business requirements via natural language documentation or user stories.
  • Gaining deep product knowledge, help customers gain maximum benefit from their selected software package.
  • By understanding the customer’s requirement, ensure the solution maximises the software’s potential and accepted best practice.
  • Work together with technical staff to agree solution design based on customer need.
  • Production of logical diagrams and business process flows.
  • Liaison with Project managers and Quality Assurance staff to agree acceptance criteria and timelines.
  • On occasion to undertake functional testing to validate the business requirements have been met.
  • Be able to spot commercial opportunities both for the company and your customers.
  • Work unsupervised and able to document decisions on scope.
  • Become an eCommerce / online customer experience product expert and as your knowledge builds give product training to customers.
  • Will be required to work away from home on occasion.


  • Ideally hold a business degree
  • At least 2 years agency or client side industry experience
  • A working level of proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Used to working in an Agile environment, with rapid requirements change – preferably experience of working in Kanban or SCRUM methodologies
  • Experience of working in the IT sector preferably with experience of working with eCommerce and WCMS platforms such as Magento, Drupal, Sitecore, WordPress etc
  • Demonstrate analysis skills, including the output of documentation, user stories, test cases and functional wireframes
  • Highly organised, able to manage and organise both customers and colleagues in order get the job done
  • Working with a team environment, including with multiple third parties
  • Experience of working with remotely located developers preferable
  • Proficient in interviewing stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Proficient in MS Office, wireframing tools such as Balsamiq and preferably Agile project management tools such as Target Process or Jira
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communicating with clients and internally to the members of a development team
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and keep developing yourself by learning new technologies and have a keen interest in customer engagement
